Mobile phone customers complain that they receive calls with fictitious codes all day long from uncertain and imaginary countries. The two major cities, Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire, are the most affected.

+881; +675; +221; +771 or +231 are fictional codes from uncertain and imaginary countries that disturb the tranquility of mobile phone customers. A subscriber of a mobile phone company, victim of his inconveniences, complains: “These indications are mainly from countries in West Africa or North Africa, or even other foreign countries. In reality, the people who do this are real crooks, scammers looking for easy gain or money opportunities. They are not in those countries that have these codes or prefixes, they are with us in the country and sometimes in the same cities.”

For him, the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Agency should take this issue seriously to stop these scammers. It must be said that the persistence of this phenomenon should encourage mobile phone company operators to imagine real measures to identify and block these fraudsters and scammers.
