The latest Counterpoint Research report states that Apple and Samsung continue to dominate the smartphone market as at beginning of the year 2025.

Apple did not give up any place on the podium with the iPhone 16 range. For its part, Samsung is doing well with its mid-range models. This is Galaxy A16 5G is placed in 4th place, and the Galaxy A06 4G on the 5th. The Galaxy S25 Ultra (8th), premium model of the brand, also keeps a place in the top 10 most sold, in particular “thanks to strong marketing around GenAI functionalities ”.

Xiaomi resists in the top 10, with its Redmi model 14C 4G, which however lost one place in the ranking. According to Counterpoint Research, “this smartphone is resistant to emerging markets such as Latin America, the Middle East and Africa (MEA)”.
