As part of his plans to penetrate the consumer electronics market with products designed in Nigeria and developed for an African and global audience, the Nigerian conglomerate Alfonso Group has unveiled a new technology subsidiary. It is Alfera Technik.

The unveiling of the Alfera Technik took place in Lagos. The event brought together industry leaders, partners, and guests brand name and was described by the company as an important step in industrial collaboration between Nigeria and China. The request for consumer technologies in one of the largest economies in Africa is booming, driven by a young population and increasing use of the Internet.

Alfera Technik wants to reduce this dependence by building a factory in Ibadan, a city located two hours from Lagos, which is expected to start production within a year. According to the CEO of the Alfonso Group, Adebayo Alfonso, “it is a new brand that will produce equipment and high tech consumer software, made in Nigeria.”

The Alfonso Group, who operates in multiple sectors, said that the launch of Alfera Technik marks a new chapter in its commitment to fuel transformation industrial plant in Africa.
