Ibrahim Maloum, interim general manager of Coton Tchad SN, handed over several hundred plows to cotton producers on March 19. The ceremony took place at the Pala 2 factory.

These working materials were given on credit to the beneficiaries who are cotton producers. The initiative aims to support producers in order to increase their yields, also thanks to the increase in cultivable areas.

For Ibrahim Maloum, these plows were bought by Coton Tchad SN at a value of eighty-five thousand francs (85,000) CFA per unit but made available to cotton producers at a subsidized price of sixty- ten thousand (70,000) CFA francs.

"The repayment is made over a period of four years," he said. The cotton production department of the South-West zone, which includes the Gounou-Gaya factory, the Léré factory and the Pala 2 factory, received a total of three hundred (300) plows.
