The symposium on the contribution of women to the blue economy in the Gulf of Guinea is part of two political commitments whose objective is to contribute to the reflection on strengthening the role, participation and representation of women in decision-making in the maritime field. Its vision is to highlight the experiences and contributions of women to the blue economy.

During the reflections on the two days, participants had to share experiences in terms of women's participation in maritime space, to understand the gaps in women's participation in the various sectors of the blue economy. They also examined the challenges posed to the meaningful integration of women in the maritime sector, and then formulated recommendations to mobilize women's contributions to promotion.
