Local Content Champion Program (LCCP) has been launched Monday, October 27, 2025 in Bamako. This is an ambitious initiative by AFG Bank Mali, which aims to strengthen the participation of subcontractors and local suppliers in the Malian mining sector. This meeting brought together the mining sector actors, public institutions and partners techniques.

The LCCP program has an envelope of 100 billion FCFA. It will make it possible to identify, support and promote local champions with high potential. These businesses will receive support structured combining tailor-made financing, capacity building and investment advice. The proposed funding includes mechanisms innovative solutions such as leasing, factoring, guarantees and solutions for venture capital. The LCCP mainly targets local subcontractors operating in services, logistics, subcontracting or the supply of goods related to mining operations.

AFG Bank Mali aims to through this program to create 2,000 jobs by 2027 and to create a thirty national champions.
