Through a statement made on June 25, the heads of the Public and Private Support and Supervision Structures (SAE) for SMEs announced the resumption of activities of the structure as well as the establishment of an African network of SA SMEs.

Meeting in Dakar on 24 June 2022, Heads of Public and Private SME Support and Management Structures, Experts and Resource Persons in Support of SMEs, invited States UEMOA as well as special guests from other African States decided, in accordance with the resolutions resulting from the Dakar Declaration in 2012, to breathe new life into the activities of the structure that had died out because of the health situation. The movement thus constituted gave Senegal, through the Agency for the Development and Supervision of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ADEPME), to “continue to institutionalize the SA PME network within UEMOA and to take steps for the promote at the African level within the framework of the African Union.”
