The Minister of Social and Solidarity Economy, Zahra Iyane Thiam Diop, and her colleague of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, Amadou Hott, signed the Sectoral Development Policy Letter (LPSD) of the microfinance sector and the social and solidarity economy.

According to the Minister of Social and Solidarity Economy, Zahra Iyane Thiam Diop, the sectoral policy letter for the development of the microfinance sector and the social and solidarity economy mainly aims to optimize the quality of the service offer. social and solidarity financial institutions, the strengthening of the capacity of economic actors and the structuring of their funding requests.

This is why she will say, "the operationalization of this strategic letter will make it possible to achieve sustainable access for the majority of the population to adapted financial and non-financial services, for a decisive contribution to strong and inclusive growth. in Senegal by 2025".

The LPSD will also improve the institutional framework governing the governance of the microfinance sector.
