The Special Cybersecurity Division (Dsc) have dismantled a network of counterfeit banknote traffickers at the Mixta City according to exclusive information from Seneweb. More than 02 million FCfa in counterfeit notes were found on counterfeiters.

Exploiting information about a gang active in the circulation of non-authentic banknotes, elements of the Research and Interpellation Group (Gri) of this service surprised two counterfeiters in a apartment at the level of this locality. Caught red-handed, Mr. Diouf, claiming to be a mobile phone salesman and his sidekick Mr. Ndiaye claiming to be a trader, were taken to the premises of the Special Cybercrime Division for the purposes of the investigation. Thus, the police raid on the Cité Mixta resulted in the seizure of 2,500,000 (two million five hundred thousand) in counterfeit banknotes and 07 mobile phones. According to authorized Seneweb sources, these counterfeiters are currently in custody for criminal association, counterfeiting, possession and circulation of legal tender on the national territory.
