A press release published on November 17, 2025 mentions that the Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (Sgci) and the National Office of the State Civil and identification (ONECI) have signed a partnership agreement strategic. This agreement aims to strengthen the reliability of the identification of bank customers as well as the security of financial transactions.

The agreement was signed on November 11, 2025 at the headquarters of Sgci in Abidjan-Plateau, the bank integrates the authentication platform in Oneci line. Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire “will now be able to verify in real time and in a secure manner the identity of its customers, based on on the official data of the National Register of Natural Persons (Rnpp) ”. This agreement also allows the bank to strengthen the compliance of information produced by the customer and better meet the requirements regulatory requirements in terms of customer knowledge (KYC). The deal allows also on the bank to strengthen its contribution to the fight against fraud and to offer - at the same time - to its customers, a more pleasant experience smooth, fast and secure.

According to the press release “this collaboration is part of the common vision of the two institutions to build an ecosystem trusted digital technology, where digital identity becomes an essential lever inclusiveness, transparency and economic development.”
