National Deputy Willy Mishiki Buhini filed at The National Assembly, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a bill that aims to strengthen the supervision of the gambling sector by Democratic Republic of Congo.

The proposed bill in the Democratic Republic of Congo aims to fix the modalities for collecting royalties and contributions related to socio-economic activities resulting from the exploitation of gambling, while strengthening state control over a sector that generates significant financial resources, some of which escape each year in the public treasury.

According to him, this initiative is also part of as part of the commitments made by the DRC in the partnership agreement strategic with the United States, especially in the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

He feels that the adoption of this law could allow the Congolese State to recover nearly two billions of dollars while securing the financial circuit linked to this sector
