The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) supports Togo in its universal access to health care policy with an envelope of 38 billion FCFA.

The funding will be used to implement the Project to Strengthen the Health System and Primary Health Care, (PR4SP), launched this Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Lomé by the Togolese Ministry of Health. Lasting four years, the project will consist of the construction and rehabilitation of health centers, specifically about thirty maternity hospitals, as well as the acquisition of equipment and rolling stock for the benefit of health facilities

This project should also strengthen the fight against communicable diseases, improve the governance of the sector which is undergoing modernization, and support for the control of the main communicable diseases (HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria) and snakebites.
