On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the Malian diaspora proceeded with the official delivery of a check for 200 million FCFA under the Resilience fund to the country's government. The award ceremony for this Financial support was chaired by the minister for Malians living abroad and African Integration, Mr. Mossa Ag Attaher, in the presence of the Minister of the Economy and Finances and of the President of the High Council of Malians of Outside France (HCME), the main mobilizer of this contribution.

A strong gesture was made by the Malian diaspora, gathered around the national authorities to support the Resilience Fund. This initiative is part of the dynamic of national solidarity and responds directly to the patriotic appeal launched by the highest authorities in the country, aimed at mobilizing all forces to face major challenges which Mali is facing. Faced with emergencies, it was asked to all the driving forces to participate in the common effort. So, the diaspora was put at the heart of this strategy, because its regular commitment, transfers and skills weigh heavily in the daily lives of households. For this, a framework of Orderly contribution was preferred in order to increase the impact on the land.

The Diaspora Resilience Fund aims to be a structuring instrument intended to channel, in a voluntary manner and responsible, financial contributions, skills and investments by Malians living abroad. It aims to support sustainable, inclusive solutions adapted to national realities, in particular for the benefit of vulnerable households, local authorities and basic social services. Through this mechanism, the diaspora accompanies Actively Mali in the transfer of skills and the support of projects innovative and the mobilization of alternative financing.

The amount of 200 million FCFA has been interpreted as a symbol of collective strength rather than as a simple sum. Beyond Of the numbers, a determination not to remain a spectator was affirmed. La Diaspora wants to be recognized as a fully-fledged player in the present, and strategic partner of the future.

“The amount of 200 Millions of CFA francs handed over is not a simple number. It symbolizes strength, the cohesion and the determination of our diaspora,” said the minister.
