The President of the CGEM, Chakib Alj, the President of UNPM, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui decide to switch to the top speed. Thus, the second edition of the Morocco-Mauritania Economic Forum took place on Tuesday, September 20 in Casablanca, which brought together the two partners.

The private sectors in Morocco and Mauritania intend to do their utmost to strengthen investors on both sides of the border. Indeed, the two employers, CGEM and UNPM are calling on their respective members to work together to identify opportunities. Nearly 140 Mauritanian economic operators represented various sectors at this forum, alongside their Moroccan counterparts. At their head was the president of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

In her opening speech, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui said: “Our ambition today is to raise Morocco-Mauritanian relations to a new level stronger in all respects and especially in economic terms.” Indeed, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNPM) intend to consolidate their forces to stimulate investments in both Morocco and Mauritania.
