Last Friday, July 22, 2022 in Pretoria, the presidents of Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa sealed the end of their interview with the signing of 6 new agreements on issues of of paramount importance for both countries.

After a 4-day visit to the South African capital, Alassane Ouattara, the Ivorian Head of State, and his South African peer, Cyril Ramaphosa, expressed satisfaction with the relations between their two countries. Ouattara's visit, which aimed to strengthen multisectoral bilateral cooperation between the two countries, resulted in 6 agreements being signed. These partnership frameworks include the mining, transportation, and social development sectors. The Ivorian president also took the opportunity to speak to bosses and private investors at the South Africa-Côte d'Ivoire Business Forum. After discussing current international issues such as Mali and the war in Ukraine, among others, the two leaders are now counting on political consultations organized by a joint commission to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of the partnerships signed.
