The Burkinabe Copyright Office (BBDA) a organized on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Ouagadougou, a discussion meeting with beneficiaries and providers of the 2025 call for projects from the Fund of cultural promotion of the BBDA.

Actors from all over Burkina Faso are are met in Ouagadougou in order to allow the beneficiaries, service providers, the project monitoring committee and the BBDA to agree for better implementation of the projects selected to be subsidized. Ce The discussion period was also marked by the presentation of the promotion fund cultural, established to support the various creators in their creation and promotion projects. This fund is financed by deductions statutory regulations on royalties collected from users of works protected. These are deductions, in particular on 35% of remuneration for private copying and 5% of the traditional collection of rights royalties.

The mission of the fund is to provide financial support the projects of artists who are members of the BBDA in the various categories that enter the field of collective management, to contribute to the dynamization of its members, to promote cultural heritage and to enrich the repertoire of the BBDA. Music, literature, cinema, dance, dance, theater and graphic and plastic arts are the fields concerned by this fund.

For this call for projects, a total of 423 projects that were selected and subsidized, out of 1,289 projects received. The amount allocated for the implementation of the various projects amounts to the sum total of 282,715,000 FCFA. This sum will be divided between the various sectors (music, literature, cinema, cinema, dance, theater and graphic and plastic arts).

The distribution of funds is as follows follows: 181,080,000 for music out of 294 selected projects, 20,840,000 FCFA dedicated to literature for 33 selected projects, 17 000 000 FCFA are awarded to dance for 10 selected projects.
In addition, cinema and graphic and plastic arts have received respectively the amounts of 28,490,000 FCFA and 15,655,000 CFA francs for 30 and 32 selected projects. As for the theater, a sum of 19,640,000 is allocated to 24 projects selected.
