Funding for the project to promote access to finance, entrepreneurship and employment in Mali (Pafeem) is gradually materializing. The Minister of Economy and Finance Mr. Alousséni SANOU signed the agreement for an amount of 33.08 billion FCFA with the Director of Operations of the World Bank in Mali Mrs. Soukeina KANE, this Tuesday, April 20 2021 in Bamako.

Approved on March 17, 2021 by the Board of Directors of the World Bank, PAFEEM will support the government's efforts to address the challenges of financial inclusion, financing of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and the creation of businesses. income-generating activities, particularly for the benefit of young people and women.
"The Financing Agreement that we have just signed will enable the Government of Mali to support entrepreneurship and employment in Mali by supporting access to financing for income-generating activities and by promoting entrepreneurship and employment in Mali. benefit of vulnerable segments in Mali,” declared the Minister of Economy and Finance during the signing ceremony.
The project will be implemented through five components which are as follows: promotion of sustainable financial inclusion and the development of Fintech; risk sharing and capacity building of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); support for income-generating activities, income and employment assistance; “Emergency and contingency intervention” and finally component 5: support for the management and implementation of the project.
