The ANSD indicates that the performance of the activity
Industrial production in Senegal is due to the jump in industrial production
extractive (+51.7%); driven by the expansion of oil extraction, as well

manufacturing (+7.1%) and the production of “electricity, gas and water”
(+5.7%).

In the first quarters of 2025, total industrial production consolidated by
25.1% with reference to that of the same period of the previous year. The agency
also indicates that the increase in the production of extractive industries
is due to the expansion of crude oil extraction as well as to
performance observed in “other products from the extractive industries”
(+4.6%) over the period.
Strengthening the production of “electricity, gas and water” is linked to the increase in capture and distribution activity of water (+17.9%) and that of electricity and gas production (+9.1%).
As for improving the production of
environmental industries, it is due to the good performance of
waste collection, treatment and disposal activity (+2.5%).
