The Dangote Oil Refinery has confirmed its commitment to provide Nigeria with the necessary gasoline. The company promises 1.5 billion liters of unleaded gasoline per month, equivalent to 50 million liters per day, starting in December 2025.

The Dangote oil refinery said in a letter to Nigerian authority of regulation of the middle and downstream oil sector a indicated that the supply should increase to 1.7 billion liters by months (57 million liters per day) starting in February 2026.

In the letter, dated November 30, 2025 and signed by CEO David Bird, Dangote Refinery requested support of the nmdpra for welcome officials on site from 1 December in order to validate and publicly publish the daily volumes of production and stock.

This measure is aimed at ensuring total transparency and to strengthen public confidence in the availability of fuels nationals. The letter also calls for the unimpeded customs clearance of oil. crude, raw materials and blending components, as well as the smooth loading of petroleum products by sea.

The Dangote Refinery pointed out that the delays in the clearance of ships continue to affect operations, to increase costs and to have an impact on consumers.

This announcement of the refinery intervenes in a context of persistent difficulties in downstream sector, where the domestic supply of gasoline is struggling to meet demand, this which makes it necessary to maintain the use of imports.
