New revelations are at the heart of the trial of the former General Manager of Gabon Oil Company, which opened a few days ago before the Special Criminal Court.

The court has been going through the prosecution's case file one by one. At the end of the court's questions, it emerged that 100 million CFA francs disbursed with the agreement of the Presidency of the Republic were used to pay the per diems of ministers and other executives who participated in an activity of the Company. Also, a sum of 190 million CFA francs was disbursed to pay the associations that came to welcome the President of the Republic at the airport after his stroke. In addition to this, patronage, donations, sponsorship and assistance contracts have cost nearly 4 billion CFA francs. Christian Patrichi Tanasa also justified the exploding mission expenses, the increase in his bonuses and other benefits granted to his staff.
