The WAEMU Commission (West African Monetary Economic Union) is organizing a meeting of Ministers in charge of transport on January 27 and 28, 2022 in Ouagadougou. According to the press release published for this purpose, the operation of the Juxtaposed Checkpoints will be at the heart of the exchanges.

The Ministers will have to define the procedures for commissioning the Joint Control Posts (PCJ) of Hilacondji-Sanvee-Condji (border between Togo and Benin), as soon as possible, as well as those relating to the commissioning of the PCJs of Malanville (border between Benin and Niger), after more than three (03) years of experimental operation. The construction of PCJs aims to ensure the fluidity of intra-Community trade, by reducing border crossing times.
