A note sent by the United States Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire to the Ivorian Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora mentioned that the Ports Autonomous of Abidjan and of San Pedro are removed from Port Security's list of unsafe and unfrequented ports Advisory American coast guard.

A few years ago, the report of the mission to assess the security of Ivorian ports by the American Coast Guard notified Côte d'Ivoire that the ports of Abidjan And San Pedro n& rsquo; were not applying security measures properly. As a result, they were listed on the Advisory U.S. Coast Guard Port Security's list of unsafe and unfrequented ports.

The Ambassador of the United States of America to Côte d'Ivoire, notifies the Ivorian Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora in an information note dated December 6 that the port security advisory (1-22) published by his country, attests that Côte d'Ivoire currently maintains standards of effective anti-terrorist security in and around its ports. This prevents visiting vessels from being compromised.
