This weekend, the futures contracts on Brent crude oil rose. The protracted peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine maintain a high level of geopolitical risks.

The operators said they were notified by the CME just before 03:00 GMT after trading stopped due to a problem of cooling in its CyrusOne data centers, which affected trading of all futures and options contracts on Globex.

The Brent crude oil futures contract for January delivery, which expires on Friday, increased by 15 cents, or 0.24%, to reach $63.58 per barrel at 7:38am GMT, after closing in Up 21 cents on Thursday.

The February contract, which was more active, was traded to $62.99, an increase of 15 cents.

The American Crude Oil Price West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stabilized at $59.08 per barrel, up 43% cents, or 0.73%.
