In a report published at the beginning of June 2022 on its website, the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) reveals that the number of electronic money transactions were & Eacute; set at 2.42 billion for a value of 25.465 billion CFA francs at the end of June 2021 in UEMOA. These data indicate an increase of 39.08% in volume and 24.52% in value compared to December 2020. According to the central bank, this reflects market dynamics marked by the diversification of offers, the arrival of new players on the market and the increasing adoption of electronic payments by the populations of the Union.
