Gabon will launch in December the modernization of its e-Visa system by integrating electronic payment, by partnership with MadiPaie.

Travelers will now be able to pay their fees of online visa, thus ending the obligation to pay in cash to the airport. Although the visa application is already available on the portal evisa.dgdi.ga , Payment is still made in cash upon arrival. This initiative aims to simplify the process, reduce queues and align Gabon with international standards.

The Ministry of Economy Digital has confirmed the collaboration with mobile payment operators such as Airtel Money, Moov Money, and Clikpay Money. This project is part of a vast reform to modernize public services, including identity national digital technology and the promotion of national preference.
