The General Directorate of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) informed that the State of Mali will proceed to pay the annual interest on its bond called the State of Mali 6.50% 2020-2028 for an amount of 7.553 billion FCFA on March 27, 2023.

Through the Public Treasury of Mali, the country's authorities successfully launched, from 09 to 20 March 2020 inclusive, a bond bond by public offering on the UEMOA financial market for an amount of 100 billion FCFA represented by 10,000,000 Bonds with a nominal value of 10,000 FCFA each. In the end, investors subscribed 11,620,000 bonds for a total amount of 116.200 billion CFA francs.

The objective of this loan is to finance certain investments provided for in the 2020 budget. According to BRVM officials, investors wishing to acquire 6.50% Mali government bonds 2020-2028, and in turn benefit from the interest that will be paid, will be able to do so no later than Wednesday, March 22, 2023, while this security will list ex-interest coupons on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
