On Friday, October 14, 2022, the official opening ceremony of this important meeting took place. These are the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group. Having taken part in this ceremony, Ivorian Prime Minister Patrick Achi highlighted the government's achievements and efforts despite the difficult global context marked by the consequences of the coronavirus health crisis and, more recently, the war in Ukraine.

“How do we join forces to face the challenges of an uncertain world? “This is the theme around which the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group, which began on October 10 last, were focused. On the occasion, the Ivorian Prime Minister highlighted the achievements and efforts of the Ivorian government and indicated that he intends to do more for growth with the support of Côte d'Ivoire's partners.

He thus said: “We too have our context, which is that of the security situation, which requires extremely important resources to maintain peace and security and the defense of the country. So in the face of all these constraints and in the face of all these challenges, the objective here will be to discuss with partners to see what are the solutions, which together we must find to not only hold but really to be able to continue growing.” He recalled that in terms of economic growth, “Côte d'Ivoire is among the countries on the continent but also in the whole world, as the one that is doing the best.”
