Morocco will benefit from a new funding from the OPEC Development Fund international (OFID), in the amount of 100 million euros (about 1.8 billion dirhams). This funding is part of the 2nd phase of the Governance Support Programme economic and climate change resilience, in partnership with the African Development Bank (bad ).

mso-bidi-font-family:arial">The objective of Morocco's financing is is to support ongoing reforms in the water and energy, while strengthening sustainable growth and policies climatic conditions in the Kingdom. In Morocco, this new financial support testifies to the confidence of international partners in its structural reforms and strategies for governance, sustainability and the fight against climate change. The OPEC funds had already granted in 2024 a similar amount for the first phase of this Program co-financed with the Bank African Development Agency (ADB). As a reminder, the BAD had approved 120 million euros for this first phase, then strengthened its support in June 2025 with an additional commitment of 181.8 million euros for the second phase.

Like Morocco, several countries Africans are also among the beneficiaries of funding approved. South Africa to receive $150 million to modernise its infrastructures, in partnership with several international donors. One $27 million loan for Malawi for a water project drinking and sanitation, and $50 million in funding for Papua New Guinea, with a focus on basic education.

Finally, an amount of 30 million dollars was awarded to support an agricultural program and rural development in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank.
