Michael Taylor, 60, a former MEMBER of the US special forces converted to private security, and his son Peter Taylor, 28, were arrested in May 2020 near Boston (north-east of the United States) by the American authorities, under arrest warrants issued by Japan. After exhausting all possible remedies, they were extradited last March to Japan for trial. They face up to three years in prison.
The expulsion of Rémy Daillet gets bogged down in Singapore
The Frenchman Rémy Daillet, suspected of being involved in the abduction of little Mia in the Vosges in mid-April, expelled from Malaysia with his family to the France where he is the subject of an arrest warrant, did not board the aircraft after a stopover in Singapore. Léonie Bardet, Mr. Daillet's pregnant partner, was hospitalized and "Mr. Daillet and his children are under the responsibility of the Singapore Police Service," said Jean-Christophe Basson-Larbi. Rémy Daillet and his family were arrested at the end of May on the Malaysian tourist island of Langkawi where they resided. As their visas expired, Malaysia proceeded to deport them.
Naftali Bennett becomes Prime Minister
The Israeli Parliament has voted confidence in the government of new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett who succeeds Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been in power for 12 years.
