Dakar, Sep 16 (APS) - Senegal has garnered 55 billion CFA francs at the end of its last simultaneous issue of assimilable Treasury bonds, according to the auction report published on the Agence UMOA-Titres website.
The overall amount of bids stands at 178 billion 021 million 020 thousand with a rate of coverage of the amount put up for auction by bids of 356.04%.
This issue of Treasury Bonds aimed to "mobilise the savings of natural and legal persons in order to cover the financing needs of the State of Senegal's budget".
It includes three securities with respectively an initial maturity of 3 years, 5 years and 7 years.
Last June, Dakar had signed its return to the regional financial market by raising 55 billion CFA francs, following a simultaneous issue of similar Treasury bonds at three, five and seven years respectively for an amount of 50 billion.
The total amount of bids recorded during this issue organized at the request of the General Directorate of Public Accounting and the Treasury of Senegal, amounted to 129 billion 004 million 210 thousand CFA francs. The coverage rate was 258.01%.
