Meeting on November 26, 2025 in Brazzaville, the directors of the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) welcomed important strategic advances, marked by the attribution of the financial rating by Moody's .

The inaugural financial rating is a decisive step for the Community institution, which now aims to have full access to international markets.

This rating opens up new perspectives of funding, allowing la BDEAC to consider unprecedented diversification of its resources. Access to international markets, in particular to the Stock Exchange of London, or that of Frankfurt, should offer capital on terms more competitive, thus strengthening the bank's ability to support large-scale projects.

The president of the financial institution, Dieudonné Evou Mekou, highlighted the progress made under the plan ongoing strategic review, including the review of several funding projects in the energy, health and infrastructure sectors, pillars essential for subregional development.

Dieudonné Evou Mekou described this assessment as a “significant moment” in the quest for status investment grade. Although the grade obtained does not yet correspond to the final objective, it constitutes, in his opinion, a clear recognition of the solidity of the bank as well as the constant support of the Member States.
