The gold price reached their highest level in over three weeks this Monday. Uncertainty fuelled by the decision of the American Supreme Court to invalidate a much of the customs duties imposed by President Donald Trump pressed on the dollar and pushed investors towards the safety of precious metals.

Spot gold prices increased by 1.1% to reach $5,161.64 per ounce at 4:19am GMT, after reaching its highest level since January 30.

American gold futures for deliveries in April were up 2% to $5,183.

The cash price climbed 3.1% to reach $87.20 per ounce, a high in more than two weeks.

The Platinum spot price has slightly increased by 0.1% to $2,158 per ounce, while that of palladium fell by 0.1% to 1,747.11 dollars.
