This Wednesday, copper prices held steady in below their records. Investors preparing for possible restrictive directives from the US Federal Reserve at the end of its two-day monetary policy meeting.

The most traded copper contract in Shanghai Futures Exchange was down 0.37% to 91,720 yuan ($12,987.27) the metric ton at 03:15 GMT.

At the same time, the reference price for copper at Three months on the London Metal Exchange rose by 0.67% to reach 11,564 dollars per ton.

Copper prices have recently reached levels record highs due to expectations of a still limited supply outside of American market and disturbances in mines.

Among the other metals listed on SHFE, aluminum has reduced by 0.34%, zinc by 0.43%, lead by 0.84%, nickel by 0.73% and tin registered the only increase, at 0.72%.

Among LME metals, aluminum gained 0.63%, zinc increased by 0.49%, lead increased by 0.33%, nickel by 0.31 % and tin by 1.11%.
