This Friday, oil prices changed little. Hopes of an impending peace deal between Russia and Ukraine have faded, with prices on track for their first weekly increase in three weeks

Brent crude oil futures fell by 17 cents, or 0.25%, to $67.50 per barrel at 10:00am GMT. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures fell 13 cents, or 0.2%, to $63.39

Both contracts won over 1% in the previous session. Brent has risen by 2.8% since the start of the week, while WTI has increased by 1%

Oil prices were also supported by a larger than expected drop in U.S. crude inventories last week, a sign of strong demand. Inventories fell by 6 million barrels in the week ending on August 15, the American Energy Information Agency (EIA) announced on Wednesday. Analysts had expected a drop of 1.8 million barrels
