On Friday, January 30, 2026 in London, Cameroon successfully issued a bond by private placement on the market international financial instrument in the amount of $750 million. The announcement has was made by the Cameroonian Minister of Finance, Louis-Paul Motaze.

The operation, with a maturity of seven years, combined for a grace period of two years, was arranged jointly by the Citi banks, according to J.P . Morgan style="font-size:14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif"> and Cygnum Capital.

The resources mobilized will be given priority earmarked for the settlement of outstanding payments from previous years, in particular statements related to certain strategic public projects, in accordance with guidelines of the 2026 finance law. They will also contribute to ensure the continuity and completion of these projects, as well as to secure the execution of the State budget for the current financial year.
