The Bceao announces that it has continued in November the implementation of its measures taken since March 2020. These provisions raised the interbank market interest rate from 2.74% to 2.77%.

The Bceao has taken measures to counter the adverse effects of the pandemic on economic activity. Thus, it indicates in its publication entitled monthly note of economic conditions in the WAEMU countries at the end of November 2020 that interest rates on the money market have stagnated at a slightly higher level.
The one-week interest rate on the interbank market came out at 2.77% against 2.74% a month earlier. In addition, the document informs that on the auction windows of the Central Bank, liquidity injections have continued at the fixed rate of 2.0% since June 24, 2020.
