Mali will launch on the market of the West African Economic Monetary Union (UEMOA) a simultaneous issue of assimilable Treasury bonds by auction, for an amount of 40 billion CFA francs and maturities of three years and five years, announced the West African regional debt planning agency UMOA-Titres in a press release.

This issuance of Bonds Assimilable du Trésor in all the member countries of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) aims to mobilize the savings of natural and legal persons in order to ensure the coverage of the financing needs of the budget of the State of Mali.

The date for submission of submissions is set for Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. UT, deadline. The simultaneous issuance of Bonds Assimilables du Trésor (OAT) by auction for an amount of 40 billion FCFA is a basket composed of two securities. The face value of a treasury bond is 10,000 FCFA.

The first security is a Bond Assimilable du Trésor with a maturity of 3 years offering a coupon of 6% per year. Repayment of the capital will take place on the first business day following the due date set at January 28, 2024. Payment of interest will be made annually at an interest rate of 6.00% per year from the first year.

The second security is also a Bond Assimilable du Trésor with a maturity of 5 years and a coupon of 6.20% per year. Repayment of the capital will take place on the first business day following the due date set at January 28, 2026. Payment of interest will be made annually at an interest rate of 6.20% per year from the first year.
