At the end of its bond auction program and equivalent treasury bonds of 364 days, 3, 5 and 7 years, the State of Burkina Faso raised on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 on the financial market of UEMOA, the sum of 32.999 billion FCFA.

Burkina Faso is considering cope with the financing of its budget. The amount put up for auction amounted to 30 billion FCFA. The overall submissions went to 42.338 billion FCFA. This gives a coverage rate for the amount put in auction of 141.13%.

The amount of tenders accepted is 32.999 billion FCFA and the one rejected to 8.338 billion FCFA. This corresponds to an absorption rate of 77.94%.

Investors whose bids have been selected will end up with a weighted average return of 7.48% for bonds, 6.76% for bonds of 3 years, 6.93% for those of 5 years and 7.15% for those of 7 years.

The Burkinabe Public Treasury promises investors to repay the bonds issued the first business day following the due date of October 21, 2026. En On the other hand, interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the value nominal of these vouchers.

Regarding bonds, the repayment of their capital will be the first business day following the due date set on October 23, 2028 for those of 3 years, on October 23, 2030 for those aged 5 and on October 23, 2032 for those aged 5 7 years old. Interest will be paid per year based on the fixed rate announced 6% for 3-year bonds, 6.20% for 5-year bonds and 6.40% for 7-year-old girls from the end of the first year.
