Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) announced that the dinar depreciated by 0.25% against the euro and 0.45% against the US dollar during the current period from 9 to 15 February.

BAM indicated in its recent weekly bulletin that during the period from 9 to 15 February, no auction was carried out on the foreign exchange market. Indeed, according to the Central Bank, official reserve assets stood at 332.1 billion dirhams (MMDH) as of February 10, 2023, down 1.2% from one week to the next and up 0.8% year-on-year.

The total amount of BAM's interventions amounts to 80.7 billion dirhams, including 34 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances on tender, an outstanding amount of long-term pensions delivered of 23,5 billion dirhams and an amount of long-term guaranteed loans of 21.3 billion dirhams during the same week. The average daily volume of trade on the interbank market was 4.3 billion and the interbank rate averaged 2.50% during this period.
