The Minister of Justice, Mamoudou Kassogué visited the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The Minister of Justice counts on the advice and guidance of his elders in the judicial family in the conduct of his mission, which he humbly describes as the consecration of the divine will, but also a challenge to all magistrates.

At the visit to the Supreme Court, the Keeper of the Seals stressed that it was his duty to come and ask the members of the Court, some of whom were for him, trainers, others references, the essential support to succeed in the mission. He recalls that the Malian people expect a lot from the judicial family to empty the files relating to the recent violence of the demonstrations of July 2021, the purchase of armaments or the sales of certain state buildings among others. The discussions also focused on other projects to enable justice to be more effective, at the service of citizens. On this point, the Minister has given the assurance that he will do what is necessary to guarantee the full independence of the judiciary.

At the Constitutional Court, spoke with the President of the Institution Amadou Ousmane Touré and his staff. The minister also discussed with the members of the Constitutional Court, the points to allow the organization of healthy elections. In the same logic, the lines of reflection that could allow a synergy of actions between the Court and the department, in order to satisfy the populations were highlighted.
