It announces that the amount of the Fund's budget is 75,063,000,000 CFA francs. The points discussed at this 22nd session of the Management Board are , among others, the examination and adoption of the minutes of the 21st session, the assessment of the state of implementation of the recommendations resulting from the last session, the activity report as at 30 November 2020 and the state of progress Budget cut by 30 November 2020. The programme of activities and the draft budget for the financial year 2021 were also on the agenda of the discussions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors Pr. Mamady Kane recalled that the work is taking place in a particular context marked by the persistence of the pandemic of the coronavirus disease or Covid-19, which has had a negative impact on the lives of everyone and on all systems at the social level, economic and financial and having not made it possible to carry out all the forecasts at will.
Regarding the constraints and main difficulties encountered during the implementation of the program of activities, the Chairman of the Board of Directors mentioned the impact of the pandemic related to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the non-membership of bank workers in the Amo, the telephone company Telecel, the delay in the registration and production of insured cards due to waiting for the switch to the biometric information system of the web service type (Activ Premium); insufficient staff for the registration and distribution of insurance cards; slow connection throughput, instability of the interconnection network.
For Prof. Mamady Kane, the draft budget for 2021 amounts to 75,063,000,000 CFA francs in revenue and expenditure compared to 67,140,000,000 CFA francs in 2020, an increase of 11.80%. The amount of technical expenditure amounts to 52,414,537,841 CFA francs and represents 69.83% of total expenditure.
