After Dakar, the BRVM settled in Bamako on February 17 and 18, as part of its tour to meet potential investors and issuers in the WAEMU region.
Edoh Kossi Amenounvé, Managing Director of the BRVM exchanged with managers of pension funds, insurance companies, presidents of professional orders and some leaders of SMEs in Mali to promote the regional financial market.
The need for development of the stock market culture, the awareness of the managers of private sector companies to the stock market opportunities as well as the means of mobilizing Malian SMEs through the Elite BRVM Lounge program, with a view to preparing them for access to the Third Compartment, are in essence a few challenges.
At the end of the exchanges, it was recommended to the BRVM to continue this type of action, to intensify the meetings between the managers of the National Antenna of the Stock Exchange and the decision-makers of the private sector in all the WAEMU countries. .
And to be the spokesperson with the authorities on privatization issues, to engage in awareness-raising actions on the opportunities offered by Islamic financing. Finally, to devote more regular sessions to SMEs to help them improve their corporate and financial culture.
The Bamako stage saw the participation of the Directors General of the National Institute of Social Welfare, the National Health Insurance Fund of Mali, the Malian Social Security Fund, officials from SUNU Assurance Mali, Atlantique Assurance Mali , SONAVIE, SABU NYUMAN, LAFIA, the Professional Orders of Accountants, Tax Experts, Architects, Lawyers, Notaries as well as SMEs such as Omnium, Access SA, and the SAER Group.
