The specialized institution of BOAD based in Lomé announced on Monday, November 7, its intention to carry out a project to plant 100 million trees to fight combating desertification in West Africa. In reality, the impacts of climate change are at the heart of debates in Africa through COP27, which is taking place in Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh). To do so, the West African Development Bank (BOAD) wants to do its part. She said that this project will be accompanied by the 8 member states of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) and will cover the entire region.
