a workshop to return the pre-feasibility study relating to the creation
of a center for the treatment and recycling of used oils in N'Dotré.
The workshop is organized under the collaboration of the Ministry of Commerce,
Industry and Craft, with the Bank
African Development (Bad) and the Korean Institute of
environmental technology and industry (Keiti).
The creation of a treatment center and
recycling used oils in N'Dotré is presented as a strong project
environmental, economic and social impact. The future center aims to reduce
groundwater pollution caused by waste oils, while
transforming this dangerous waste into a real economic resource. According to
Raymond Laurent Assoua, chief of staff of the Minister of Commerce, of
Industry and Crafts, the initiative responds to an emergency
environmental. According to him, “a single drop of used oil can
contaminate thousands of liters of water. It was therefore imperative to act.”
During the study, the experts proposed several treatment methods, before selecting the solution the more adapted to the Ivorian context. The study went so far as to analyze the unit capacity, ramp-up scenarios, as well as the financial pre-feasibility, integrating public, private and mixed.
