A delegation from the National Anti-Counterfeiting Committee visited the Secretary General of the High Authority for Good Governance (Habg), Henri Augustin Aka on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. It appears that in the pharmaceutical industry, counterfeit medicines cause the State to lose nearly 30 billion CFA francs per year and the illicit sale of medicines represents 25% of the sector's turnover according to official estimates.

The High Authority for Good Governance has expressed its willingness to establish close links with the National Anti-Counterfeiting Committee to combine their efforts to deal with these scourges that continuously threaten societies. In this context, the president of the Steering Council of the National Committee for Combating Counterfeiting, Michel N'Zi, had a working session with the Secretary General of the High Authority for Good Governance (Habg), Henri Augustin Aka.

According to the Secretary of the Habg, his institution is available for good governance to take part in any initiative that is part of the pooling of efforts to help curb the harmful consequences of corruption and counterfeiting in the country.
