During the validation workshop of the diagnostic report on the phenomenon of corruption and similar offences in Côte d'Ivoire, the authorities announced that negotiations are underway for the implementation of "innovative anti-corruption standards".

For the president of the High Authority for Good Governance (HAGB), N'Golo Coulibaly, this is a new start in the fight against corruption and not an isolated one-off action. "Some were quick to speak of a 'clean hands' operation. If there is a 'clean hands' operation, the national anti-corruption strategic plan that arrives in this context, will be an additional tool at the service of the said operation, with well-structured actions," he added. Côte d'Ivoire's national anti-corruption strategy will make it possible to build not only a general policy, but also sectoral policies whose implementation will require the strong involvement of interested parties.
