The Communication agency 'Focus Yakou' proceeded on December 17 to the official launch of the 2020 edition of the Practical Business Guide in Togo (GPAT). It was at an official ceremony during which the outline of the document was presented.

The Practical Guide to Togo's Business 2020 is the update of the first two editions, with innovations and integration of new sections. "We have taken into account the observations and remarks reported by businessmen and women in this new Guide", said Jean-Paul AGBOH AHOUELETE, CEO of Focus Yakou.

This document, which provides information on the business environment in Togo, is structured in 4 main parts on nearly 200 pages, in addition to Togo's presentation in the foreword.

The first part entitled "Create and administer a company in Togo" informs about the legal forms of companies in our country and the formalities of creation. This section also offers information on taxation, corporate litigation management and labour law in Togo. In this first part a zoom is made on the Criminal Law of Business and the Investment Code in Togo.

In the second part of the guide, the publisher presents investment and financing opportunities in Togo. It focuses on the various projects and programs of the Togolese government to facilitate investment in the country. To this end, it provides information on the National Development Plan (PND), Togo Invest, the 2025 Presidential Roadmap, the accompanying measures in the context of Covid-19 and zooms in on the support mechanisms for young people and farmers such as the ANGPF, the MIFA, the FAIEJ and the FNFI.

"Cost of factors of production" is titled the 3rd part which provides answers to questions on telecommunications, energy and water.

The 4th and last part gives practical information relating in particular to obtaining a visa and residence permit. It also provides information on the airlines that serve Togo and the main law firms and accountants.

Facilitating business opportunities in Togo

The writing of this guide by the FOCUS YAKOU agency has a double objective: to facilitate access to accurate and reliable information on the economic environment for anyone interested in Togo; but also to promote the destination Togo and thus contribute to strengthening the economic fabric of the country.

The Practical Guide to Doing Business in Togo will be in kiosks next week and also available in digital version.

The author, Jean-Paul AGBOH announces that he wants to "provide the WAEMU area with its Business Guide in the years to come". In this perspective, the Practical Guide to Business in Senegal was launched last Thursday in Dakar.

On the sidelines of the Business Guide ceremony in Togo, a round table was held around the theme "Opportunities and challenges of a structural and strategic transformation underway in Togo". It was divided into two panels, the first "What ambitions for the Adétikopé Industrial Platform, the KEKELI Thermal Power Plant and the Togo Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant?", the second "COVID-19 crisis: opportunities to bring innovation to the company, labour law and industrial relations'.
