The world's number 1 soft drink company, The Coca-Cola Company, has just promoted a young Burkinabe to the position of Vice President in charge of the African continent. Indeed, as of January 1, 2021, Rodrigue Bila is appointed Vice-President in charge of operations at the head of a unit made up of thirty countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The announcement was made a few days ago by the multinational based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rodrigue Bila is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years of experience in the FMCG industry. He joined The Coca-Cola Company as Head of Market Development in 1999 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and operations. The Vice-President Africa previously served as Regional Director for West and Central Africa.

Prior to joining coca-cola, Rodrigue Bila worked for exxon Mobil where he held various leadership positions in lubricant operations, supply chain, sales and engineering. A Polytechnician engineer by training, Mr. Bila is passionate about the development of the African continent. As such, Rodrigue Bila has coached several of his congeners who assert their skills in several companies that operate on the continent. He also spent several years as a volunteer professor at the Polytechnic University of Dakar in Senegal. Perfectly bilingual, Rodrigue Bila is fluent in French and English.
