Morocco's positioning and its role in promoting the business environment in Africa have been
highlighted during a panel initiated as part of the 9th
Africa Expansion Forum, which was held from 4 to 5
September in Montreal.
During
this debate devoted to the African business context, the President of the Inter Africa Capital Group
(IACG), Mohamed H'Midouche emphasized the strengths of the Kingdom as a hub for
investors wishing
to position themselves on the African market.
He cited in particular the attractions of Morocco in terms
of geographical position, business climate and
infrastructure built to contribute to the development of the continent.
Mr. H'Midouche, in this context, underlined the strategic nature
of the Casablanca Finance platform

OCP strengthens its cooperation with Ghana
A cooperation agreement
for the fertilization of agricultural land was signed recently in Accra, between the
Africa subsidiary of the Office Cherifien des Phosphates (OCP Africa) and the Ghanaian Ministry of Food and
of Agriculture.

Signed by OCP Africa Director, Karim Lotfi Senhadji, and the Ghanaian Minister of Food and
Agriculture, Owusu Afriyie Akoto, this agreement aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between the OCP group
and Ghana for accelerating the agricultural development of this West African country founded,
through the encouragement of reasoned fertilization of agricultural land and the strengthening
of cooperation
technical.
The objective of this agreement is the production of fertilizers adapted to the needs of the soil and local crops for the
development of a competitive agricultural industry and the creation of an African industrial power based
on synergies, reports MAP.
Speaking at
the signing ceremony , Mr. Senhadji reiterated OCP Group's desire to contribute
supporting farmers and maximizing Ghana's agricultural potential to
meet growing demand

"Under
this agreement , the OCP Group will work in consultation with the Ministry of Food and
Agriculture to optimize the fertilizer value chain in Ghana to provide farmers with
tailor-made fertilizers at affordable prices," said Senhadji.

their needs will be met, particularly in terms
of soil mapping.
For his part, Mr. Akoto noted the importance of this agreement for the country's farmers, particularly in
terms of access to fertilizers adapted to the needs of the soil and local crops.
Noting that agriculture is at the center of the concerns of the Government of Ghana, the Minister emphasized
that the use of fertilizers has increased
from 8 kg per hectare in 2016 to 20 kg per hectare currently,

of this agreement, this use "will certainly experience a remarkable increase, for
meet the country's needs.
Created in 2016, OCP Africa works hand in hand with farmers to
help free
sustainably the immense agricultural potential of the continent. It also offers solutions adapted to
local conditions and specific crop needs. In Ghana, OCP Africa has launched several
initiatives, in particular the "OCP School Lab", an itinerant training school
in good agricultural practices
and the "Agribooster" program, a package
of products and services aimed at improving the yield of
farmers.
