Since Monday, agents and executives of the Ministry of Finance have been undergoing training on the domestic market for government securities. This training is part of the objective to help the government to raise the expenses on the local market in Congolese franc in order to allow the replenishment of the coffers of the public treasury.

The objective of this workshop, according to the expert consultant at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Jean-Luc Steylaers, is to equip the DRC with a market for government securities to enable the State to borrow more easily from investors and banks with high liquidity.
